Course overview
Are you eager to gain a deeper understanding of challenging behaviour and enhance your knowledge of social, emotional, and mental health?
In this session, we will clarify the intricate connections between emotions and relationships, highlighting how our emotional experiences shape interactions with others. Through practical techniques, we’ll equip SENDCos and pastoral leads with the skills to spot non-problem-solving behaviour effectively, addressing underlying issues or unmet needs. Additionally, we’ll offer insights into the neuroscience behind behaviour.
Furthermore, we’ll practice a relational approach to meeting children where they and develop our skills in this area. We will explore keyways to support children, providing practical strategies and top tips for promoting resilience-building behaviours and attitudes.
Throughout the session, there will be opportunities for group discussion and questions to enhance understanding and application of the material presented.
In our final session we will take a strategic view by examining the graduated approach, identifying strengths, addressing gaps, and maximizing opportunities for positive outcomes.
Join us on this enlightening journey to empower yourself with the tools and knowledge to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
